BI-CULTURAL TRAINER POSITIONS
at IOM Oslo

IOM Oslo is looking for 1-2 cultural orientation trainers for the Afghan quota refugee caseload. Due to the nature of the concerned refugee caseload applications from the female candidates are encouraged.

Cultural Orientation Programme provides:

• Norway-bound quota refugees with objective information about living in Norway prior their arrival to Norway, and
• Informs the resettling Norwegian municipalities about the country of origin and culture of the quota refugees.

Desired qualifications of the bi-cultural trainer:

- Good knowledge of life and society in both Norway and in Afghanistan
- Relevant cultural and linguistic background from Afghanistan.
- Good knowledge of both Norwegian and English.
- Knowledge of Farsi is an asset
- Personal refugee background or experience of working with refugees is an asset
- Experience with Introduction programme is an asset
- Prior teaching experience is an asset
